“6 Seeds” is a six night long Jazz festival featuring Japanese musical icon Senri Oe. This event will take place at Tomi Jazz which has been bringing great Jazz music to Manhattan for over 20 years. Each night Senri Oe will be accompanied by musicians specializing in different Jazz styles, thus planting six unique seeds in NYC’s musical garden.

A household name in Japan, singer-songwriter Senri Oe has played an active role in Japan’s music scene for the last 28 years. Jazz music has long held a special place in Oe’s heart and in 2008 he moved to NYC to begin the second chapter of his life, a chapter devoted to Jazz.

In light of recent events in Japan, “6 Seeds” carries yet another meaning. The devastation and loss following the earthquakes and tsunamis, which began on March 11, 2011, have made it imperative that Japan begins steadily sowing the seeds of prosperity and reconstruction. Therefore, 100% of profits or sales of the following items will be donated during this event.
